Job Title: Metal Building Erector
Job Description:
We are currently seeking skilled Metal Building Erectors to join our team. The Metal Building Erector will be responsible for assembling and erecting metal structures according to blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and assembly procedures.
- Measure and mark reference points for installation of metal components, including columns, beams, and girders.
- Erect and secure metal structures, including framing, roofing, and siding, using hand and power tools.
- Install insulation, vapor barriers, and other materials as needed to ensure energy efficiency and weatherproofing.
- Collaborate with other construction workers, including welders, crane operators, and laborers, to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow.
- Perform quality inspections to verify that metal structures are installed correctly and meet project requirements.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and using fall protection systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including properly storing tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and subcontractors to address any issues or concerns that may arise during construction.
Desired Skills and Experience:
OSHA 10 is preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in construction or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a metal building erector or similar role, with a strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications, with the ability to accurately interpret dimensions and layout requirements.
Familiarity with hand and power tools commonly used in metal building construction, such as drills, saws, and wrenches.
Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and precipitation.
Physical stamina and strength to lift and maneuver heavy materials and equipment on a regular basis.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
